The average W-2 job takes 45 hours. Sleep takes 56. Family and errands and showering and eating take about 50. That leaves you ~17 hours a week, if you're lucky.
Seventeen hours is not a lot. It also isn't zero. The trap is spending them all on one thing and finding out in twelve months it was the wrong thing.
My rule: four priorities, max. Two nights of focused work, one weekend morning, one short weekend block. If a new thing appears, an old thing has to leave.
