The offer was real. $3,000 a month, twelve hours a week. On paper, an easy yes.
But I did the math the other way: that $3K is rented income. The moment I stop invoicing, it stops. Same structure as the W-2, just with more clients and less healthcare.
Ownership income is different. An ecommerce listing can earn while I sleep. Online resale systems compound. Long term investments can grow in the background. Every hour I spend building those systems has the potential to keep working after I stop.
I turned it down. The math said no.
